I need a facade inspection done but the cost is huge
05/03/2011
This is a common scenario. You’ve got repairs that need to be done on the facade of your building, but you aren’t sure how extensive they are and how much money it’s going to cost. You’ve asked an engineer or a builder to take a look at the facade but just doing the inspection is blowing out your budget.
Don’t go down this route. Get an industrial rope access or abseiling facade inspection done. This is the cheapest, simplest and most effective way to inspect a facade and find out what needs to be done to it to get it back into working order.
Rope access cuts out so much hassle from these types of jobs. It’s silly not to use abseilers for this type of task.

Facade survey by abseiling can save time and money
08/02/2011
Industrial rope access facade surveys can be a great alternative to engaging an engineer to visually inspect the facade of a structure using EWP, scaffolding or swinging stages.
Some engineers have in fact taken to abseiling to facilitate easy facade inspections, however they tend to still charge very high rates for these services. For basic facade inspections to isolate items such as concrete repair, it can be very cost effective and also efficient to engage abseil building maintenance personnel to descend the facade of the building and provide a report on any issues of concern.
Picking a company who also does the type of repair work that they are assessing is always a good idea as this will cut down on overall costs at the end of the project and means that the people who surveyed the building are familiar with the scope of works to be undertaken.
